The first day of fall was a whopping 80 degrees here in Virginia. By five o’clock, the weather had changed completely. The temperature dropped to a mellow 65 degrees and the wind picked up, causing the fallen leaves to blow through the air. It was as if Mother Nature was giving us the last taste of summer and introducing us to the fall, and pumpkin spice, all on the same day.
Whether you like it or not, it’s time for pumpkin spice. The grocery stores have already stocked the shelves, the lines at Starbucks are wrapped around the corner, and the merch advertisements are blasted on every social media site. I’m guilty of indulging in some pumpkin spice muffins as soon as they hit the shelf. Please don’t judge me. Pumpkin spice is not the only thing I love about fall.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is cuddling up with my throw blanket, listening to campfire sounds, and reading a good book. Another thing I enjoy doing is breaking out my crock-pot and cooking delicious one-pot recipes with my daughter. Most of all, I enjoy fall because I get a lot of writing done during the months of October and November, thanks to NaNoWriMo.
Now that you know a little about me, share some of your favorite things about fall in the comments!
