If you haven’t heard, November is National Novel Writing Month and people all across the globe have dedicated the month of November to writing a 50,000-word manuscript. Crazy right? I know, but hear me out.
Back in October 2020, I found the lovely Sarra Cannon of Heart Breathings on YouTube and binge-watched her content for a few days. After I built up the confidence to give NaNoWriMo a shot, I headed to the nearest UPS store and printed out both the Plot Your Novel workbook and the Preptober workbook that she created. Although I didn’t fully understand what everything meant, I did my best to fill in what I could.
Long story short, I completed 50,000 words on my first try and thus One Foot Out the Door was born. Of course it had to be rewritten too many times to count, but it made me proud. Proud that after hiding my writing from the world for so long, I could finally give people a glimpse inside my mind.
With that being said, if you haven’t read my debut novel yet, One Foot Out the Door is available in ebook and paperback. I have a few signed copies left or you can purchase it on Amazon.

See you next time,
