Christmastime was my grandmother’s favorite holiday and she did everything over the top. From the menu to the massive tree, she managed to outdo herself every year. One year she got a white tree with lights that blinked to the music. It was every kid's dream.
Although I’m in my forties, I still like to tap into the things that reintroduce me to my younger self and take me to my happy place. It helps to foster my creativity, so I have a confession to make. I didn’t wait until Black Friday to pull out the Christmas tree, instead I threw it up on Thanksgiving morning.
There’s just something about the decorations that catapulte me into the holiday spirit. Speaking of which, I wrote my first Christmas-themed romance this year that I want to share with you.
A Little Holiday Spirit Blurb:
Due to a recent breakup, the last thing Spirit Houston wants to do is face her parents, or her self-proclaimed failures, during Christmas. When her roommate insists she spend the holiday with her family back home, Spirit agrees to accompany her. What she doesn't know is that she will have to share a room with a complete stranger. A sexy stranger. Will they be able to coexist in the same space or drive each other nuts over the Christmas holiday?
